One of the most respected Media Executives India has seen, headed the Marketing for Radio Mirchi and made it as the top most recalled Radio brand in India. He has garnered two National Film Awards. At his stint as the Business Head of Sab TV, the channel rose from number 9 to one of the Top 3 channels, on the viewership count.

Biography/Timeline

2011

Also in 2011, he co-directed Chillar Party and won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay, along with Nitesh Tiwari and Vijay Maurya. The film also garnered the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. In 2014 came his independent directorial venture Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut, which received critical and popular acclaim.

2014

He is best known for his 2014 movie Queen, which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Director, alongside many more accolades.

2019

His new movie Shaandar, a destination wedding film, was a flop and received neutral to negative responses. In October 2014, he directed a short film Going Home, featuring Alia Bhatt, on women's safety, which went viral on social media. Bahl will be directing a biopic on Mathematician Anand Kumar. It will feature Hrithik Roshan as Kumar and will release on 25 January 2019.
