"Loggerheads" won the Grand Jury Prize at Outfest, audience awards at the Florida and Nashville Film Festivals, and the top screenwriting prize at the Madrid International LGBT Film Festival. His fifth feature, "Lazy Eye," which he wrote, directed, and produced (with Todd Shotz), was released in 2017.
In addition to his film awards and nominations, Tim received an Alfred P. Sloan Award for development of "Kitty Hawk," an original screenplay about Wilbur and Orville Wright. He has taught screenwriting at the University of Southern California, the University of California in Los Angeles, Hunter College in New York City and Vermont College of Fine Art.
