When a casting director noticed Robert in several television commercials, he was called to audition for a role on a daytime drama in New York City where he won a three-year contract on One Life to Live.

Returning to Los Angeles in 1981, Robert worked in feature films and television series, including Dallas, Simon & Simon, and St. Elsewhere. Robert currently lives in Woodland Hills, CA and works in local theatre productions.
