While serving as Executive Vice President at Insight Films, the company produced and delivered 30+ TV movies a year. Word also developed and executive produced Insight's series Painkiller Jane, based on the popular graphic novel, for the SyFy Channel.

As Sr. Vice President Programming & Production for the PAX Television Network, Rob oversaw the production and development of dozens of prime time series including the swashbuckling adventure series Young Blades starring Bruce Boxleitner.

Rob developed and produced 65 half-hour episodes of the cartoon series Totally Tooned In, for Columbia TriStar International Television. For Universal Television, he wrote, produced and directed the successful pilot presentations for Hercules, Bandit, TekWar, Midnight Run and Dragon, which launched the popular weekly first-run series, The Action Pack Network and the resulting spin-off series.

He created and produced the TV series Bad Sci-Fi for Nelvana and 26 90-minute episodes of The Laurel and Hardy Show for The Comedy Channel.As one of the founding fathers and producer of the Motion Picture and Television Fund's prestigious Golden Boot Awards (1983-2007), Rob's love of the West best describes his work as a producer, writer and artist.

His Western credits include: Hosting/Writing/Producing and Directing YouTube's weekly celebrity interview series A Word on Westerns (www.youtube.com/user/AlgonquinCowboy) at the Autry Museum since January 2014; Memories of Lonesome Dove, a live event with Robert Duvall for the MET Theatre in Hollywood; writing and producing the top rated CBS movie, Wyatt Earp: Return to Tombstone; hosting, writing and producing Western Round-Up starring Roy Rogers for PBS; overseeing the marketing of the mini-series Lonesome Dove; producing 13 half-hours of Young Duke: The Series, and Executive Producing Roy Rogers: An American Hero for A&E's "Biography.

"Other TV movie producing credits include: Attack of the Killer B Movies featuring Elvira for NBC, The Adventures of William Tell, starring Robert Forster, for the Family Channel, Robin Hood: The Movie, Robin Hood's Greatest Adventure and Quest for the Crown for ITC and the Disney Channel, Bush Doctor, Peking Encounter, Secret of the Black Dragon, for syndication and the Emmy nominated TV movie, An Ozzie and Harriet Christmas for Golden West BroadcastersWord got his start as a cinematographer/editor for ABC News in central Florida and became a programmer and movie host on WTOG (Tampa), WFTV/ABC (Orlando) and WINK/CBS (Ft.

Myers). After programming stints at WCGU/FOX (Milwaukee) and WTTO (Birmingham), he became Program Director (and co-owner) of KHIZ in Los Angeles/Victorville. Recently he was Executive Programming Consultant at Sony Television's GetTV and previously Starz/Encore.

He also hosted movies for the Z Channel in Beverly Hills, CA, and hosted the syndicated celebrity interview insert series, "Stardom."In addition to the annual Golden Boot Awards, Rob has hosted and produced numerous live events including Memorial Tribute to Clayton Moore at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage, Western Memories a musical evening with Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Amy Madigan, Wilford Brimley and The Sons of the San Joaquin, among others.

He has been honored for his contributions to films with a Golden Boot Award, a plaque at the Lone Pine Film Festival, and is an in demand host or panelist for western and non-western Film Festivals throughout the country.

Word is also a member of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America. He rode for several years in the Ben Johnson Charity Rodeos, competes in Celebrity Mounted Shooting, is one of a group of industry veterans who co-authored the book, "Friday's with Art," recalling humorous adventures in syndicated television and co-authored the upcoming book, "52 Weeks * 52 TV Westerns.

"Word is a graduate of Stetson University where he sits on the alumni board. He attended graduate school at the University of South Florida and taught "The History of Television" course to undergraduates.
