Unlike filmmakers before him, Frank did not see a film when he was five years old and then dream of becoming a filmmaker. His first dream of what he wanted to achieve in life was breaking the four-minute mile, but genetics would lead him to other dreams.

His mother had always told Frank to have many dreams for they are where all things begin. If you do that, you will be on your way to a life filled with joy. Growing up in Utica, N.Y., Frank went to the matinees as often as he could.

He'd sit and eat five bags of McDonald's French fries, which cost all of a buck back then. In the summer Frank turned 13, he was able to buy a used Kodak M22 with two rolls of film and a Keystone 250 editor.

Frank would wait with intense patience for two weeks to get his film back from Tracy Adams, the local photo developer, then run up to the attic, loaded the reels on the Keystone that sat gingerly on his mother's ironing board and cut the film together.

The joy he felt was ineffable. Frank G. Caruso is a passionate filmmaker who launched onto the scene with his collaborative, independent film "Going Great White", which Mitch English of "The Daily Buzz" called "multi-level, laugh-out-loud funny!" Frank wrote, produced, directed and acted.

Documentary - "This Is My Sister" documentary airing on Wisconsin Public Television, 2012, and showcased on The Director's Cut TV show. The film is a rare, life-affirming journey from those who have been in the shadows, doing the hard work of everyday living.

The Red Umbrella - Frank's original screenplay, 2010. Was chosen as a Semi-Finalist in the 16th Annual Writer's Network Screenplay & Fiction Competition & Quarter-Finalist in the 14th Annual Fade-In Magazine Awards.

Midnight Catch Novel - Trailer 2012. Frank takes 3 pages of Norman Gilliland's novel and turns it into a film teaser. In Depression-era Florida, a strange double murder draws members of a community into a conspiracy of silence.

Battleground TV series 2012. Frank did voice-over for the show and was an extra.Public Enemies film 2009 - Frank was an extra in the court room. He says it was one on the best 16 hour days he has ever had.

Lake Jimmy film 2008 co-wrote, directed, produced and acted in this heartwarming comedy about two foster brothers.
