Before Fame

He received a degree in architecture from the University of El Salvador and later studied art at Louisiana State University. He briefly studied theology in Belgium and included religious symbols in some of his artistic works.

Trivia

He took several young artists with him to La Palma in order to escape the Salvadoran Civil War.

Family Life

He was the middle child of six children born to Baltasar Llort and Victoria Choussy. He fathered three children with his wife Estela Chacon.
