Eric Colton is a native of Franklin, Michigan and a 2006 graduate of Michigan State University.Eric is the oldest of three boys. His father, Michael, is an attorney and his mother, Michele, is a real estate agent.

Eric's acting career began in high school when he booked his first ever audition for a regional TV commercial in Metro-Detroit. He continued acting in commercials and taking modeling work throughout high school.

Eric enrolled at Michigan State University to study theatre and public relations. The summer after his freshman year, Eric headed to Los Angeles with his older cousin, Laura, who was moving there to pursue acting as well.

Eric quickly found representation in Los Angeles, and his summer vacation turned into 6 months of auditioning for commercial, film and television roles. He co-starred on the CBS sitcom, "A Minute with Stan Hooper" (2004), and did several print and runway jobs before heading home to finish his BA in Communication.

Colton returned to Los Angeles after graduating MSU with honors in the spring of 2006. Eric earned a supporting role in the feature film "The Last One" (2008) six months after his return.Since his early successes in Los Angeles, Eric has continued his work in independent films, portraying the real life San Diego disc jockey, "Lucious Lee", in the comedy "Ugly Shoes" (2012).

He also had a large supporting role in the psychological thriller, "Violence of the Mind" (2013). He has landed roles on popular television shows, such as Entourage and Desperate Housewives. Eric starred in the web-series, "Dumbass Filmmakers!" (2012) and had recurring roles in two web series,' "Derek and Cameron" and "The Loyalty Club," both filming in 2013 and 2014.

Eric played 'Phillip Gross' in the highly anticipated "Alongside Night" (2014), a futuristic thriller based on the 1979 novel by J Neil Schulman.Shortly after production of the film, Colton met his business partner, Emanuel Millar, on the set of the TV series, Eagleheart.

The two first spoke around 3:30 a.m. and decided to begin working together full-time after a powerful conversation. Their ongoing collaboration includes Millar working as Colton's manager. They are developing several projects both as producers and as director/producer (Millar) and actor.

In June of 2014, Eric moved to New York to study with legendary acting teacher Susan Batson. He worked daily with Susan for the next four months. While in New York he guest-starred in the new Oxygen channel sketch comedy "My Crazy Love".

He and Susan are currently collaborating on a one-man play about the private life of Hollywood legend, Rock Hudson. Eric Colton resides in both New York and Los Angeles.
